kuppajo espresso bar opened its doors in downtown sudbury in february 2016 & has flourished to a second location on the laurentian university campus. our café was quickly embraced by the locals & those venturing through. we are so thankful to all of you. our space & offerings have been a melding of each of our family members – betty-ann, dan, jasmine, danielle & noah serré. our business is built on the passion for delivering quality, fresh, simple food and excellent espresso in a warm & artful setting.

we are passionate about community involvement. we value and appreciate local talent – and we embrace this within our business. we display & sell locally made items throughout the café – from vegan bath supplies, artisan crafted jewelry to paintings. just like home – our space is open to musicians looking to play a tune with the use of our community piano (jazz sudbury) or an instrument of their choosing.

at the heart of our business is the suspended coffee movement. we want to help restore faith in humanity by highlighting the simple acts of kindness happening all around us, and by encouraging others to do the same. suspended coffee highlights that kindness can come in many forms, including the purchase of a suspended coffee or meal, which is the very idea that inspired this movement. a suspended coffee is the advance purchase of a cup of coffee (or meal) for someone who needs it, no matter why. but it really is about so much more than coffee. it can provide physical comfort, conversation, a smile or even a laugh, and a sense of belonging. come by and join the movement – pay it forward.

kuppajo espresso bar feels like home. we understand the important and unique role each individual plays within our community. we welcome individuals from all networks and we embrace their individuality by bringing everyone together in our cozy space. with our rustic, modern and comfortable feel, to our relaxed, home-y atmosphere, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
